Orlando vein specialist Dr. Michael Cohen, M.D., F.A.C.S. is the senior and Founding Partner of Vascular Specialists of Central Florida, Inc. Dr. Cohen is a graduate of Swarthmore College and attended the Ohio State University College of Medicine, graduating in 1977. He completed his General Surgical training at the University of Wisconsin Clinical Science Center in Madison, serving as Chief Resident in 1982. After a Fellowship at the Gloucestershire Royal Infirmary in England, Dr. Cohen returned to Ohio, completing his Vascular Fellowship at the St. Anthony Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio in 1985.

Dr. Michael Cohen has been with Vascular Specialists of Central Florida since 1986. A highly regarded Orlando vein doctor, Dr. Cohen serves on a number of area committees, and was recently appointed Assistant Professor of Surgery at the College of Medicine, University of Central Florida.

Dr. Michael Cohen was Board-certified in General Surgery in 1984, and re-certified in 1993. In 1990, he was Board-certified with Special Qualifications in General Vascular Surgery, and re-certified in 1999. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Michael Cohen is a member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, the Society for Clinical Vascular Surgery, the Florida Vascular Society, and is a founding member of the International Society for Vascular Surgery.

Dr. Charles Thompson, M.D., F.A.C.S., a leading Orlando vein doctor, obtained his medical degree from the University of Miami in 1993 and performed his general surgery and vascular surgery training at Louisiana State Medical Center in New Orleans. He pursued specialty training in endovascular procedures at the prestigious Arizona Heart Institute and was awarded the Cardiovascular Fellow's Award in 2001. Dr. Charles Thompson is Board-certified in general and vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery.

Dr. Charles Thompson is widely regarded as an Orlando vein specialist. He has authored over 25 scientific articles and has given presentations at regional, national, and international medical conferences. He has participated in numerous research trials using new devices and techniques for the treatment of vascular diseases including abdominal aneurysm repair, carotid stenting, stem cell research, and venous disease. Dr. Charles Thompson is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Florida Vascular Society, and the International Society for Endovascular Specialists.

Dr. Thompson was instrumental in creating the endovascular surgery program at Orlando Regional Medical Center. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Remote Medicine and has volunteered abroad providing medical care in South and Central America.

Orlando vein specialist Dr. Jon Wesley, M.D. obtained his medical degree at the University of Miami. He completed his general surgery residency at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C., with two years dedicated to intensive research at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Jon Wesley went on to complete specialty training in vascular surgery at the University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics in Madison, WI. He held a faculty position at the University of Wisconsin before joining Vascular Specialists of Central Florida.

A highly-regarded Orlando vein doctor, Dr. Jon Wesley received numerous awards during his training and has published scientific articles in a number of major peer-reviewed journals. He has also given presentations at national scientific forums. As a diplomat of the American Board of Surgery, he is Board-certified in general surgery and vascular surgery. Dr. Jon Wesley is a founding member of the International Vascular Surgical Society.

Adam B. Levitt, M.D., RVT

Adam B. Levitt, M.D., RVT

Dr. Adam Levitt, M.D., RVT, a leading Orlando vein doctor, graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Maryland and from Tufts University School of Medicine with high honors. Prior to entering the University of Maryland, Dr. Levitt served in the United States Marine Corps as an Infantryman. He did his General Surgery Residency at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., and was the Chief Administrative Resident in 1996-1997. Dr. Adam Levitt went on to pursue his Vascular Fellowship at Atlanta Medical Center and did a one-year fellowship at the American Cardiovascular Research Institute.

Recognized as a leading Orlando vein specialist, Dr. Adam Levitt has published articles in Journal of Vascular Surgery, Journal of Trauma, and the Journal of American College of Surgery, and has also given presentations internationally. Dr. Levitt is Board-certified in both General and Vascular Surgery. Dr. Adam Levitt is a member of the American College of Surgeons, Society of Vascular Surgery, Southern Association of Vascular Surgery, Edward B. Dietrich Vascular Society, International Society of Endovascular Specialists, and the Florida Medical Association.
